State Police arrested Michael R. Hoke, age 46, from 34 Oriskany Street in Yorkville, NY for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rddegree, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and numerous traffic violations.

On July 12, 2017, State Police attempted a 2001 Lexus sedan on Camroden Road in the Town of Western for switched license plates.  The driver refused to stop and led patrols on a traffic pursuit through the Town of Floyd. The pursuit was then terminated due to the suspect vehicle entering a populated area. The suspect vehicle continued approximately another 1 mile on Old River Road in the Town of Marcy at a high rate of speed, when it lost its front passenger side tire, and failed to negotiate the intersection with State Route 291. The vehicle exited then exited the roadway, struck multiple trees and came to rest against the fence near the Whitesboro High School athletic field. The operator, later identified as Michael Hoke fled on foot and after a short foot pursuit was taken into custody without incident.

Hoke was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Weapon 3rd degree, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and numerous traffic violations.  He was arraigned in the Town of Marcy Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $50,000 cash/bond and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Marcy Court on July 18, 2017 at 4:00 P.M.
