Every year the Parkway Center, in conjunction with the city of Utica, Oneida County, United Way and the CNY Vet’s Outreach Center hosts a service project for 9/11.The purpose of this service project is to remember and honor the victims of 9/11. Every year we hold various Fill-the-Bus events that are used to collect donations of non-perishable food items to be stored until the service project on 9/11, when the donations are sorted and used to stock the food pantry at the CNY Vet’s Center.
The Fill-the-Bus events will take place on the following dates from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Saturday, Aug. 5, at South Utica Price Chopper; Saturday, Aug. 12, at North Utica Price Chopper; Saturday, Aug. 19, at New Hartford Price Chopper; Saturday, Aug. 26, at Chanatry’s; Saturday, Sept. 2, at North Utica WalMat; and Saturday, Sept. 9, at New Hartford WalMart.
