The Arc of Madison Cortland was honored to assist three Oneida churches in achieving their mission.

On Sunday, August 20th Mission Sunday, led by Oneida First, St. Paul’s and Sherrill United Methodist Church, packed over 100 personalized Hospitality and Summer Fun Kits for children, youth and adults who have developmental disabilities in the Oneida area.

Community members came and joined church members to create, wrap and personalize the kits at The Arc of Madison Cortland’s Winoa Hall in Oneida.

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Oneida and Sherrill United Methodist Church have committed ongoing relationships with those with developmental disabilities.  At Sherrill UMC at 6:30 pm on the 4th Wednesday of every month Sherrill UMC hosts worship tailored to those with developmental disabilities and in December St. Paul’s UMC hosts the Sunshine Choir, Wind Dancers and Mighty Fortress for their inspiring Holiday Concert.

Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in Mission Sunday.
