Junior Kim Dunkleman (Williamsville) entered the 2017 volleyball season or Morrisville State, sitting second in the overall record books in career assists.

When she stepped on the court in the second set of the match against Hamilton, Dunkleman did what no other volleyball player in the history of the program had done before. The junior, on the Mustangs 18th point of the set, put up the ball for teammate Helena Hanes (St. Mary’s, Pa.) for the kill, recording her 1,000th career assist and becoming the first to reach the milestone mark in program history.

Dunkleman also set the new all-time career record in assists in the Morrisville State volleyball record books during that same match.

The massage therapy major at Morrisville State is also moving her way up through the ranks in service aces, sitting currently fourth overall in the record books with 95 to date in her career.

A Dean’s List honoree, Dunkleman has appeared in 72 total matches for the Mustangs. She is the daughter of Denise and Glenn Williams, and Jim and Randi Dunkleman of Williamsville.
