The Chenango Bird Club presents “Making a Comeback” on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m., at Rogers Environmental Education Center’s Visitor Center. Our presenter, DEC Widlife Biologist Mike Putnam will discuss formerly uncommon wildlife encountered while birding, hiking and even in populated areas, such as bobcats and fishers. Part of Mike’s program will let us know what to expect when encountering them and how to best react to them, and whether to report sightings.
Refreshments will be served following Mike’s presentation. Prior to the show, the Chenango Bird Club will have a short business meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend all or part of the evening’s activities.
The Chenango Bird Club presents monthly programs (except January, February and March). Nature enthusiasts of all levels and interests are invited to all Chenango Bird Club programs, free of charge, at the Rogers Environmental Education Center Visitor Center. Rogers Center is located one mile west of Sherburne Village on State Highway 80. Coming from Sherburne, drive past the main entrance and take the driveway to the right just past the parking lot exit to reach the staff parking lot.
