Haley Harrington of Madison, NY was inducted as an inaugural member into the Beta Chapter of Tau Phi Zeta National Honor Society at SUNY Delhi. SUNY Delhi’s Veterinary Technology is only the second program in the nation to recognize academic honors by joining this prestigious organization. Sixty current Delhi students and recent graduates were invited to join the society.

Tau Phi Zeta recognizes the academic achievement, scholarship, leadership, character and professional excellence of students in the college’s Veterinary Technology program.

To qualify for induction, students must achieve at 3.5 GPA and demonstrate a dedication to animals within the veterinary medicine profession. The inaugural inductees included six graduates from the classes of 2016 and 2017 as well as nine deserving students currently enrolled in Delhi’s Veterinary Technology program.

Faculty and staff leadership on initiative included Professor Alan Franks and Alyse Retallick, Instructional Support Technologist for Veterinary Science from SUNY Delhi and Robin Gittings, Instructional Support Technician, Veterinary Science Technology, from SUNY Canton.
