The Big Sick to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library

The Cazenovia Public Library will present two free screenings of The Big Sick (2017) on Friday, October 13th at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm in the Community Room. The heartfelt romantic comedy, directed by Michael Showalter, has become one of the most critically acclaimed films of 2017.

Pakistani-born comedian Kumail and grad student Emily Gardner fall in love and struggle to deal with their cultural differences. When Emily contracts a mysterious illness, Kumail is forced to face her parents, his family’s expectations, and his true feelings. The film is loosely based on the real-life romance between writers Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani.This film is rated R and runs 120 minutes.
