The campaign of Acting Madison County Sheriff John Ball is proud to announce it has received the endorsement of the AFL-CIO Central New York Labor Council. After completing an interview with the group recently, they endorsed John Ball as their candidate for Madison County Sheriff in the upcoming November general election.

In addition, Ball received endorsements this week from the Central New York Building & Construction Trades Council, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 43.

“It is with great pleasure that we offer to your our endorsement for your candidacy for office. We feel that you will support and fight for issues that will help benefit not only the 24,700 (combined) union members that make up our labor council, but all the working families in your area” wrote Pat Costello, President of the organizations.

Ball previously received the endorsements of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters – Local 294, CSEA – Madison County Local 827, CSEA – Central Region V, the Greater Syracuse Labor Council and the Onondaga County Veterans Party and the CNY Association of Chiefs of Police.

“These endorsements, like those received from other labor organizations and groups, are from the men and women who go to work every day, for us – service workers, contractors, electricians, public works employees, school district employees, public servants – and everyone in between,” Ball said. “These people are the salt of the earth – the core of why we are a great community – a great community to live and work in.

“I am blessed to have their support and will continue to do anything I can to support them and their families, and ensure our community is safe. As a reminder, the general election is set for Nov. 7, 2017. Keep what works and, yes, experience does matter.”
