The Open Afternoon Book Club will hold its next meeting in the Story Garden Room on Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00 pm. The group will discuss The Butterfly’s Daughter by New York Times best-selling fiction author Mary Alice Monroe.

Luz Avila’s mother abandoned her when she was a child to be raised by her grandmother. Years later, when her grandmother unexpectedly dies, Luz is inspired to take the woman’s ashes to her ancestral village. As she follows the migrating monarch butterflies across the United State to Mexico, Luz finds her life transformed by a series of encounters with remarkable women.

Books are available at the circulation desk.
