State Police in North Syracuse arrested 48-year-old, Anthony J. Carbonaro from 101 Crandon Terrace in Baldwinsville, for Criminal Impersonation of a Police Officer, a class “E” felony; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor; and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

On Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, Troopers stopped Carbonaro on Wolf Street in the Town of Salina for a vehicle and traffic violation.  During the traffic stop, Carbonaro displayed a police badge on his belt and stated he was a federal police officer.  Further investigation determined the badge to be fake.  A search of the vehicle’s trunk discovered a forged Sheriff’s Office ID card, a rifle, handcuffs, and a tactical vest.

Carbonaro was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Salina Court on Nov. 30, 2017, at 5 pm.
