Fred “Fritz” Scherz, Jr., Councilman on the Verona Town Board, was sworn in for his third term earlier today by Verona Town Judge, Randy Smith.

“It was an honor to have my friend, Judge Smith administer the oath of office while my wife, Kathy stood by my side,” said Scherz.  “I look forward to my third term as councilman and intend to continue serving my constituents to the best of my ability.”

Meanwhile, the first Verona Town Board meeting for 2018 will be held Wednesday, Jan. 3, at 6 p.m., at the Verona Town Office Building, 6600 Germany Road, in Durhamville.
