The New York State Police in Lowville arrested 66-year-old Wayne D. Mihalyi of 6854 River Road Lowville, for one count of first-degree criminal sex act, one count of second-degree criminal sex act and one count of first-degree sexual abuse.
This arrest is the result of an investigation into accusations that Mihalyi did subject a 14-year-old male to forcible sexual contact. Mihalyi was arraigned in Greig Town Court and remanded to the Lewis County Public Safety Building on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond pending further grand jury action.
State Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have direct knowledge related to the ongoing investigation involving Mihalyi or any other potential information believed to be relevant.
