Madison-Chenango Call to Action invites members of the public to commemorate its first year of political activism at 7 p.m. Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room in the Hamilton Public Library and features popular speaker Professor Tim Byrnes.
Byrnes is the Charles A. Dana Professor of Political Science and the chair of his department at Colgate University. He is also known for his engaging presence on the public television show, “The Ivory Tower.”
The title of his presentation is, “Bending or Breaking? American Democracy after a Year of Trump.”
The meeting includes a discussion on what’s next for 2018. Attendees will also have the opportunity to compose personal messages to Congresswoman Claudia Tenney regarding her first term.
M-C CTA is a group of progressive-thinking advocates in Southern Madison and Northern Chenango counties working together in support of the rights of all community members and to uphold the democratic principles that make our nation strong and diverse. M-C CTA is committed to nonviolent activism.
