New York State Police and Yorkville Police Department are investigating a fatal house fire at 95 Campbell Ave., Yorkville.
The fire was reported around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night; seven different fire companies, led by Yorkville, responded to the mutual aid call. The structure is a two-and-a-half story home.
Firefighters removed two victims from the second floor of the home; 41-year-old Heather Mishlanie was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, then airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse where she was listed in critical condition.
A 7-year-old girl identified as Taylor Mishlanie was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, where she was pronounced deceased.
Investigators from State Fire are assisting in determining the cause and origin of the fire.
