United Steel Workers Northeast District Endorses Anthony Brindisi for Congress
District 4 of the United Steel Workers, whose members include workers throughout New York’s 22nd Congressional District, announced their support of Anthony Brindisi today. United Steel Workers is one of the country’s most important unions, representing employees in industries ranging from nuclear energy to chemical manufacturing to public service.
Brindisi has earned the endorsements from a number of prominent labor organizations, including the New York chapter of AFL-CIO, New York State United Teachers and the American Federation of Government Employees.
“I’m honored to have the endorsement of USW District 4,” Brindisi said. “This campaign is about empowering working people in upstate New York, and organized labor has always led the way in fighting for higher wages, better infrastructure, and high-quality healthcare. I’m looking forward to meeting USW workers throughout this campaign to hear their concerns and make sure they have a voice in Washington. As a strong voice for labor in the New York Assembly, I’ll continue fighting for working people if elected to Congress.”
