Want to see more than 100 new quilts? Are you looking to buy a quilted item? Ready for a chance to win a quilt worth over $1,000?
Come with your friends and family to a wholesome event hosted by the Thread Bears Quilters’ Guild.
Quilt show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at the Community Activity Club, 139 E. Hamilton Ave., Sherrill.
Quilt show attendees can see colorful bed, wall-hanging, miniature, round robin and block of the month quilts, as well as quilted purses and household items; experience a bed turning where a narrator tells the quilts story; purchase quilted items, crafts, fabrics, notions and more; enter a raffle for a themed basket or Judy Niemeyer-designed “Amazon Star” quilt; enjoy special “Converge”-themed exhibition; view a quilting demonstration and ask guild members about quilts.
The guild donates quilts to organ donors & recipients, quilts for veterans, and juvenile, senior and health care organizations. Proceeds from the show help defray expenses for these quilts.
