The Community Bank N.A. Oneida 182 Main Street branch recently presented Oneida City School District Foundation with a $500 donation to support its backpack program, which provides students with food for the weekends when they otherwise would not get a meal. The donation was part of the bank’s community commitment award, which allowed each branch to donate funds to a charity of its choice.

“We chose to support the Oneida City School District because we feel no child should worry about going hungry over the weekend,” Community Bank N.A. Branch Manager Cindy Lindauer said. “With more than 50% of students in the Oneida City School District utilizing the free and reduced lunch program, there is a large need for the backpack program. We’re proud to support their efforts.”
