Invites families to meet the animals of Skanda, featuring hay rides, face painting and live music by Flashback
The Haven at Skanda will welcome visitors to the farm for its second annual Family Fun Day from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 4000 Mosley Road in Cazenovia. This family-friendly event invites visitors to enjoy the tranquility of the farm while getting to know Skanda’s very special rescued and endangered animals.
Visitors will be able to have personal experiences with Skanda’s goats, mini-donkeys, ducks, chickens, pig and horses. Activities include hay rides, face painting, family games, art projects and live music by the band Flashback, a great, family-friendly local band (featuring brothers Kevin and Brad Brennan and vocalist Julie Jones) playing a wide variety of music from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
Family Fun Day is a fundraiser for The Haven at Skanda, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of caring for rescued horses, rescued farm animals and endangered breeds. All proceeds will support The Haven at Skanda’s work with rescued animals.
Admission for families is $15, for individuals: $10.
