On June 1, 2019, at approximately 1:47 p.m. state police in North Syracuse responded to 202 Mohawk Drive in Salina regarding a vehicle that struck a house.

The investigation has revealed, a 2017 Dodge Charger operated by 58-year-old Bryan K. Walters was southbound on Plymouth Avenue South when he drove through two stop signs without stopping and then striking the house located at 202 Mohawk Drive.

The vehicle went through the front of the residence and came to a rest entirely within the structure. The homeowner, Eugene F. Addison, 70, had been seated in the front living room of the residence and was located pinned underneath the vehicle.

Addison was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Walters was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was treated and released. The preliminary investigation suggests that Walters may have had unknown medical condition  just prior to the accident.

The investigation is continuing.
