The Thirsty Ragtime Trio will perform a free concert of rags, stomps and boogie-woogie on Thursday, June 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Oneida Public Library.
The trio features pianist Dave Liddy, guitarist Steve Quenneville and drummer Dave Pallas. Together, they will be playing the ragtime works of Scott Joplin, Charles L. Johnson, Tom Turpin and others plus selected stomp and boogie-woogie tunes from the early 20th century.
Liddy has studied ragtime music and its special syncopated style with the famous ragtime pianist and concert performer Bob Milne. He and Quenneville have been performing together for more than 40 years, starting with the Moss Back Mule Band and continuing on with the String Bee, which has performed a number of times at the OPL in recent years.
The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, stop by the Oneida Library, 220 Broad St., or call 315-363-3050.
