Kirkville man arrested for violating an order of protection and tampering with a witness

On June 11, 2019, state police charged Chester D. Thompson, 51, of Kirkville, for fourth-degree tampering with a witness, a class A misdemeanor; and second-degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor.

On June 7, Thompson is accused of coming into contact with the protected party of a stay-away order of protection and attempted to convince her to drop a pending lawsuit.

He was arraigned at the Oneida County centralized arraignment court and is scheduled to appear in Sylvan Beach Village Court at 4 p.m. July 11, 2019.
