The next Thursdays on the Village Green concert takes place on July 25th on Hamilton’s Village Green. The rain location for the series is Hamilton’s Palace Theater at 19 Utica St. In addition to terrific performances, each night will include family-friendly events arranged by the Hamilton Public Library as part of their 2019 Summer Reading Program.

The July 25th show features Pearly Baker’s Best, Syracuse’s very own Grateful Dead cover band. Their songs span the career of the band and focus on the elements that made the Dead’s performances truly unique. Their improvisation, focus on vocal depth, and set creation that includes much of the group’s back catalog helps to foster a memorable and inimitable experience. Pearly Baker’s Best will take the stage at 7 PM.

For the family activity before the music, join Richelle Maki of STEAMworks Ability lab to create a design using a harmonograph while learning the principles of physics, art and geometry. This activity starts at 5:30 PM.

Folks are encouraged to dine on the Village Green or enjoy the music from the patio of the Colgate Inn. The evening’s concert and activities are free for all to enjoy. Blankets, chairs and dancing are encouraged!

The series will also give locals and visitors alike a chance to enjoy downtown Hamilton’s eateries and boutiques. From home goods and fashion to antiques and gifts, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy just a stone’s throw away from the Village Green.

Activities for events will begin at 5:30 or 6 PM and music will run from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/thursdaysonthevillagegreen.
