The Madison County Office Building, 138 N. Court St., Wampsville, has gone through a recent security upgrade. In addition to the single point of entry located between the court house and the county office building, all visitors will now be subject to a security screening.

Visitors will pass through a metal detector and belongings will be x-rayed.

Any person who for medical reasons cannot walk through a metal detector will be screened with a hand wand.

To expedite this process, leave any unneeded items in your vehicle.

These security measures are already in place at the court house and Veterans Memorial Building.
