Moto Mission Powersports, Inc., is a new supercross track located in Clayville just 20 minutes from Unadilla MX. In conjunction with its 2019 Nightcross series, Moto Mission is hosting a Night of Champions Pro/Privateer Race Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019.

This race comes with a $7,500 pro purse and pays back 10 riders.

Moto Mission was created to promote integrity, quality and fun to the motocross experience while staying true to its family-oriented grassroots environment by giving back to local children impacted by adversities. Moto Mission is “Racing for a Reason” by honoring and donating funds to a local child or individual in need each week.

Since opening June 14, 2019, Moto Mission has held five races that have benefitted five families in the community who are in need of assistance by honoring them at the race and donating a portion of race proceeds directly to them. This effort includes purchasing a life-changing device for ex-motocross racer Jesse Cilbrith of Clayville. Cilbrith sustained injuries in a racing accident almost 12 years ago that left him paralyzed from the neck down.

“By giving back to our local community, we have been able to provide spectators and racers the opportunity to come out and do what they love while supporting individuals in need through our goal to race for a reason,” said Jamie Tuttle, track promoter. “Seeing the spark in the public to take action and support others has been truly amazing.”

On Aug. 8, Moto Mission is racing for Gavin Dygert, 13, of Canajoharie. Dygert was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, essentially half a heart. He has a two-chamber heart, while the rest of us have a four-chamber heart. Since birth, he has had three heart surgeries. Gavin’s true love is dirt bikes and while he enjoys riding around the yard on his Yamaha TTR90, he is unable to race motocross as it would be physically too exhausting and dangerous for him.

Moto Mission is honored to dedicate this race to Dygert for his strength and bravery while allowing him to experience local motocross racing excitement. There are several pro motocross racers committed to attending the Night of Champions Race, including Gared “Stank Dog” Steinke.

Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, event details:

Moto Mission is excited to bring pro racing to the local community while giving pros and privateers the chance to earn big money before Unadilla Nationals.

“We encourage spectators and racers to come out to not only support Gavin, but to enjoy watching or racing alongside professional and privateer racers before they take on the track at UnadillaMX,” Tuttle said.
