Herkimer College appoints admissions assistants

Janine Bolling of Brooklyn and Ashley Trevor of Ilion have been appointed as admissions assistants at Herkimer County Community College.

Bolling and Trevor will assist in meeting enrollment goals through a variety of marketing and recruitment initiatives and assist prospective students and families through the admission and enrollment process.

Bolling is the former director of global student programs at Concordia College, where she developed recruitment plans, advised multi-cultural students, created course plans and collaborated with the Admissions department for open house and student orientation days. She earned her bachelor’s in liberal arts from Concordia University in 2011 and a master’s degree in public administration from the Baruch College School of Public Affairs in 2016.

As the college’s New York City/Long Island regional representative, Bolling’s office will be located at the State University of New York Welcome Center in New York City.

Trevor, a 2018 graduate of SUNY Oswego, was heavily involved in her campus community. She was a staff writer, editor and Instagram manager for Her Campus Oswego, an online college magazine, and served as president of SUNY Oswego Women in Business. She worked closely with residence life and housing as a desk attendant, forging relationships with her peers on behalf of the college. Trevor most recently worked as an intern at GPO Federal Credit Union in New Hartford.

Herkimer College’s admissions assistants educate prospective students and their families about the college’s programs and services through high school visits, college fairs, open houses and a variety of other recruitment events. Herkimer’s Admissions Office receives thousands of admissions applications per year, and the staff works diligently to help students and their families throughout the application and registration processes.
