Pushing the Limits: “What the Eyes Don’t See”

For a good read and a fascinating discussion , Prof. Jen Herzog presents Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha’s “What the Eyes Don’t See,” an account of how a group of community activists uncovered the scandal of dangerous levels of lead in the municipal water of Flint, Michigan. The Oneida Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its regular monthly meeting Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at 9 a.m. in the library’s Local History Room, 220 Broad St., Oneida. The public is invited to attend. The History Room permits barrier-free access to the physically handicapped.

As part of its participation in National Voter Registration Day, the OPL plays host to clerks from the Madison County Board of Elections who will process registration for new voters 18 years of age and older.

Illustrator Doug Salati’s New Book

Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Children’s book illustrator Doug Salati, Oneida High School class of 2003, comes home to present his latest book, “Lawrence in the Fall,” a coming-of-age tale written by Matthew Farina for children aged 4-9 years of age and just published by Disney Hyperion. Salati will read the book and talk about his work.
