The New Woodstock Free Library is hosting an eclectic array of seasonal programs and events for all ages and many interests.  There will be a Monster Bash from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. There is a $5 fee per person, with a maximum family fee of $15.  Sign up is required.  Space is limited.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, Halloween, the library will be a must-do stop for trick-or-treating.  There will be a very scary but fun haunted room that will thrill everyone.  Stop in between 5 and 9 p.m.

Kittens are always popular, but black kittens are the best at Halloween time.  On Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m., the library is sponsoring “Black Cats: Legend, Lore and Superstition,” a program presented by Wayward Paws.  There will be lots of kittens for everyone to play with.  Donations to Wayward Paws are welcome.  The black kittens will be ready for adoption Nov. 1, should anyone fall in love with one.

For adults 18 and over every Tuesday at 7 p.m. is Tuesday Night Out at the library.  Relaxing and interesting activities will be scheduled for attendees.  No previous experience is required – only the wish to spend a pleasant evening away from the stresses of modern life.

For more information on these or other library programs, call the library at 315.662.3134, visit newwoodstocklibrary.org or find us on Facebook.

The library is open Mondays from 1 to 9 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
