On Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, at 12:26 p.m., the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possibly suicidal male on Canaseraga Road in Sullivan; the male was in his vehicle, parked off the roadway on private property near the train tracks.

Law enforcement blocked all vehicular traffic from driving near the scene, and a deputy made phone contact with the male to try and talk to him, but the male ran into a wooded area.

Deputies talked to the male and were able to get him to exit the woods without harming himself or anyone else; he was transported for medical treatment.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by state police, Chittenango police and the Oneida Indian Nation.
