Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to the Great Swamp Conservancy of Canastota to enjoy two unique programs over winter break. The is no reason to be bored – the Kid’s Winter Expedition from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 18 will teach children how to snowshoe or cross-country ski on our trails, make s’mores over a Swedish candle, warm up at the GSC hot chocolate bar and get creative making a winter nature craft.
Register by Monday, Feb. 17, 2020; space is limited. Fee is $10 for non-members and $8 for members.
From noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 20 is the Kids Paint and Juice program. Paint a fun nature painting – all materials and snacks are provided. Advance registration is required; fee is $15 per child.
