Oneida City Clerk Susan Pulverenti announced the agenda for the Feb. 18, 2020, regular meeting of the Oneida Common Council. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Common Council Chambers, Municipal Building, 109 N. Main St., Oneida.

New Business

  1. Local Law: Adopt Local Law No. 1 of 2020 imposing a six-month Moratorium on Commercial Freestanding Solar PV Systems within the City. (Mayor)
  2. Lease Agreement: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to enter into a lease agreement for a pickup truck replacement for the Fire Department. (Wells)
  3. Bond Resolution: Approve a Bond Resolution authorizing various improvements at the WWTP for Capital Project 19-6 Oneida Long Term WWTP Improvement Project up to the programmed amount. (Wells/Schuler)
  4. Appointment: Approve the Mayor’s appointment of Erwin Smith to the Traffic Safety Board. (Mayor)
  5. Ordinance Amendment: Receive and place on file proposed Ordinances to amend Sections 190-14 and 159-3 of the City Code relating to swimming pools and schedule a Public Hearing on said Ordinance amendments for March 3, 2020 at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers. (Pulverenti/Schuler)
  6. Monthly Reports: Receive and place on file monthly reports from the Chamberlain, City Clerk, City Engineer, Comptroller, Police Department and Recreation Department and the 2018/2019 annual report from the Fire Chief.
  7. Polling Places: Designate the polling places in the City of Oneida for 2020; Wards 1 & 2 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and Wards 3, 4, 5 and 6 at the Kallet Civic Center. (Pulverenti)
  8. Special Committee: Approve the Mayor’s appointments to a special committee established for the purpose of addressing the various issues involved with commercial free-standing PV systems. (Mayor)
  9. Special Committee: Approve the Mayor’s appointments to a special committee established for the purpose of addressing the various issues involved with feral cats. (Mayor)
  10. Proposed Local Law: Receive and place on file a proposed Local Law to modify the Area Variance process, receive and place on file a Memo from the City Planning Director regarding the modification, refer said proposed Local Law to the PCZBA and further schedule a public hearing for April 7, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers.   11. Budget Amendments/Transfers: Approve budget amendments/transfers to allocate budgeted vehicle reserves to the current vehicle reserve expenses, to allocate vehicle reserves for a new 2020 leased fire vehicle, to reallocate funds to cover education reimbursement, and to allocate funds to pay demand for refund due per court order.
