McCarthy: Proven ability to run strong, competitive campaign operations
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy announced Claudia Tenney, congressional candidate for NY-22, is in the first round of “Contender” candidates, the second tier of the 2020 Young Guns program.
“These hardworking candidates have proven their ability to run strong, competitive campaign operations,” said House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy. “We’re going to ensure these contenders are victorious in November by forcing their Democratic opponents to own their party’s radical socialist agenda.”
“Today’s announcement along with President Trump’s recent endorsement is a demonstration of the momentum we continue to build in our campaign to deliver results for NY-22,” Tenney said.
Contender status is the second phase of Young Guns. Tenney was previously named an “On the Radar” candidate in the first phase of the program.
