Fatal incident happened in Lewis County
On June 18, 2020, at 4:47 p.m., state police in Alexandria Bay responded to Ager Falls in the town of Lyonsdale for a reported drowning.
The investigation had revealed Abraham Whay, 16, of Utica, was walking across rocks near a concrete dam when he slipped, fell into the fast-moving waterfalls and didn’t resurface.
Whay was located and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation continues.
