We have been doing no-contact pick up for a month now and it is going well. Here are all the details. Place your order and schedule a pickup time by calling the library at 315.684.9130, emailing morrisville@midyork.org or our preference, filling out the Google form online at forms.gle/DMDHPKAsVpiVXYsS6 to place your order. Be sure to give us your name, phone number or email address, items desired, pickup time frame and any other relevant information pertaining to your order. All the rules and FAQ’s can be found at morrsivillepubliclibrary.org. You can check out up to 20 items and two of those can be new DVD’s and four new books.

We also are taking orders for faxes, copies and printed materials, as well as scheduling notary appointments. All patrons must email the library at morrisville@midyork.org with the documents they need to have printed, copies made or faxes sent. They need to list how many copies made, if they need it stapled, double-sided, etc., and for faxes, what number the document needs to be sent to.

The library will not be handling papers from the no-contact pick up area at this time for copies, prints and faxes. Patrons may now make a notary appointment by calling the library at 315.684.9130 or emailing the notary at mrounds@midyork.org. The notary will contact the patron within 48 hours of initial contact to set up a time to meet.

New this week: Do you need a Madison County Landfill punch card? We are selling them again for $15 each. Patrons MUST call the library (or email) requesting how many they would like. A library staff member will contact them for a pickup time on Tuesday or Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. Money must be exact and put into a plastic Ziploc bag (must be see through). At your appointed time, a staff member will come out with your punch card and place on our pickup table and you are to place your payment there as well. A mask must be worn during the transaction.

Starting the week of July 13, we will be adding an evening to our no-contact pick-up times. We will be doing appointments from 4 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday now. That means if a Tuesday or Thursday does not work for you, you can utilize our Wednesday night hours. Same procedures apply and requests for appointments and materials must be submitted by noon on Wednesday. Remember to wear your mask.

Our virtual summer reading program, “Imagine Your Summer at the Morrisville Public Library,” has begun. All the details can be found on our website (morrisvillepubliclibrary.org) and here is the link to sign up online to count your minutes morrisvillelibraryny11.readsquared.com/.
