Celebrate Customer Appreciation Week

Hamilton Public Library news

By Barbara Coger

(Hamilton, NY – April 2011) Customer Appreciation Week at Hamilton Public Library continues with a reception for volunteers, Thursday, April 7, at 4 p.m., and home-baked goodies through Saturday, April 9.

There is also a continuously running slide show of events during the past year, which is located opposite the circulation desk.

We have also created a newsletter highlighting the events of the year. If you have not yet received one, please pick up one at the circulation desk.

We would like to thank our friends from Heritage Farm who helped us prepare the newsletters for circulation. They always do a lot of work in a very short time and with such good cheer!

The library is gathering a list of names and mailing addresses or emails for those of you who would like to receive news about the library. Feel free to mention your interest in doing this when you talk with library staff either by phone or in person.

We have already had one lucky winner in the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s Egg-Stravaganza. Buy your Easter eggs while you still can. Some have jewelry from Lennon’s-WB Wilcox Jewelers.

Our first two entries for the second Chenango Valley Scribes Young Writers & Illustrators Contest have arrived. Children may enter one story each, and the stories can be about anything they please.

Each story must include at least one illustration or photo. All entries are due by April 16. Applications and guidelines are available at the library and the Colgate Bookstore.

The library is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call the library at (315) 824-3060, during these hours for assistance.

The book drop on Broad Street is always open for your convenience. Visit the library’s Facebook page for up-to-date information about programs and special events.
