(Cazenovia, NY – May 2011) All are invited to join Beverly Choltco-Devlin, Reference and Electronic Resources Consultant for the Mid-York Library System, in the Cazenovia Public Library Community Room on Wednesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. for a workshop entitled  “Rx: Your Prescription for Finding Quality Health Information on the Internet.”

In this workshop, participants will learn how to find and evaluate quality health information on the Internet. A variety of sites will be explored as well as those that have a bias because they have been funded by advertising dollars from the medical industry.

In addition, participants will learn how to determine which complementary and alternative therapies have been found to be effective and which are just quackery.

And don’t forget that free transportation through CRIS-CAT is provided for Cazenovia, Fenner, and Nelson residents over 55 and ambulatory.  Just call 655-0612 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. three to five days in advance.
