(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2011) We will be learning about the history of Thanksgiving this Friday Nov. 18 at 6:30pm. Learn why this is such a wonderful holiday and have some fun too.

Wednesday Nov. 23 at 1:00pm the Utica Zoomobile will be here with some new animals for us to learn, touch and have fun with.  Bring the family in for a good time before the Thanksgiving weekend.

Kiddies Korner will be reading stories about bedtime on Tuesday Nov. 29 at 9:30am.  Bring your toddler or preschool child in for “It’s Time for Bed.”

On Wednesday Nov. 30 at 6:30pm we will be “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”.  Join us as we decorate a tree for the library’s program room.  Also make a countdown calendar for Christmas.  It will be here before we know it.

Friday Dec. 2 will be our next book talk at 12:15pm. The book being discussed is Erin Hart’s Lake of Sorrows.  Copies can be picked up now.  Bring your lunch and join in the discussion.

Family Bingo Night is back on Friday Dec. 2 at 6:30pm. Kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun. Bring the family in for a game or two.

The Library will be closed from Thursday Nov. 24 through Sunday Nov. 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen Monday Nov. 28 at noon.  Be sure to make sure you have enough reading materials to cover you through these library closures. The staff is willing to help you find just what you are looking for.

The library is looking for a children’s play carpet and a small wooden children’s table for our new children’s play area.  If you have one or both you would like to donate please call the Library Manager, or email at mforward@midyork.org.

Michelle Forward is library manager. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
