Morrisville Public Library Open House is Friday

By Michelle Forward

(Morrisville, NY – Dec. 2011) Our annual open house will be this Friday, Dec. 16, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Stop in and get some home-baked goodies, see the Jan Brett Christmas tree, and visit with some staff members, Friends members and board trustees.

Take a break from the busy holidays with us!

We will be making gifts Saturday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. Bring the kids in to make a gift or two for a loved one this holiday season.

Join us for a Christmas Eve Eve party Friday, Dec. 23, at 6:30 p.m. Bring the entire family in for a party, and forget about the busyness for a bit and celebrate the holiday.

The library is looking for a children’s play carpet and a small wooden children’s table for our new children’s play area. If you have one or both you would like to donate, please call the or email me at mforward@midyork.org.

The library will be closing at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, and will remain closed until Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m. Please start ordering materials now so you have enough to read over the winter holidays. That staff is more than willing to assist you with your ordering needs.

Lots of great books are here for checking out; some are Amish Wedding by Beth Wiseman, Drop by Michael Connelly, Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich, Longing by Karen Kingsbury, Micro by Michael Crichton, Scottish Prisoner by Diana Gabaldon, Forgotten Affairs of Youth by Alexander McCall Smith, Leopard by Jo Nesbo, Locked On by Tom Clancy and Red Mist by Patricia Cornwell.

Michelle Forward is library manager for the Morrisville Public Library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
