(Morrisville, NY – March 2012) Join us for Old Stuff Day this Friday at 6:30 p.m. Bring in blankets, clothes, etc., that we can donate to the Clothes Basket in Morrisville then make some great things out of recycled materials.

Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour will meet on Tuesday March 6 at 9:30am. We will be hearing stories about being silly – bring your toddler or preschool child in for some fun and stories.

Join us for a pizza-tasting night Friday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. Bring in your favorite pizza for a tasting contest – we will sample all and decided who has the best-tasting pizza in Morrisville.

On Saturday, March 10, at noon, we will be showing the second greatest movie of all time: Citizen Kane. We provide the refreshments, so come out and enjoy the movie.

Join us Wednesday, March 14, at 6:30 p.m., as we have fun with butterflies. Spring is right around the corner, so help us get ready at this great program.

Join Lindsay Hoham as she shares with us her “not-so-extreme” coupon saving tricks Friday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. Figure out how to save money without spending a lot of time.

We are looking at how creative you can be with Peeps, the marshmallow candy. Choose a favorite book of yours and, using Peeps, make a diorama of the book. Be sure to label your display with the book title, author and your name and phone number. All entries must be received by Saturday, April 7, at 4 p.m. Patrons can vote for their favorites the rest of the month, and the top three will be announced Monday, April 30.

The next Library Board of Trustees meeting will be Thursday, March 15, at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

We are in dire need of some programming supplies. Some are egg cartons, paper plates, toilet paper tubes, googly eyes, pompoms, glue, masking tape and lots more. Check out our website for the complete list.

Michelle Rounds is library manager for the Morrisville Public Library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
