(Cazenovia, NY – March 2012) What can we learn from the experience of shale gas drilling in nearby Pennsylvania?  What are the impacts of heavy industry upon a rural community?

Mike Lovegreen, manager of the Bradford County Conservation District in Pennsylvania, will speak about the impacts of shale gas drilling by high-volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing in his county March 20, at 7 p.m., in the auditorium of the Cazenovia High School, 31 Emory Ave., Cazenovia.

The program will be moderated by Liz Moran, president of EcoLogic, LLC, and a member of the Cazenovia Town Council.  After his presentation, Lovegreen will answer questions from the audience.

The meeting is sponsored by the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation, the League of Women Voters of Cazenovia and the Town of Cazenovia.
