(Oneida, NY – May 2012) Job Corps, a program of the U.S. Department of Labor, will hold orientation and application interviews Friday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at Working Solutions, 1006, Oneida Plaza Drive, Oneida.
Job Corps offers free career training for individuals 16 to 24 years old. Education in auto mechanics, auto body repair, medical and business office, certified nurses’ aide, licensed practical nursing, construction trades, culinary arts, security guard and more are available.
The program includes up to two years’ education and training, campus housing, meals and many other services. There is no cost to eligible students. High school graduates and non-graduates may apply; a student may also work toward earning a general equivalency diploma or high school diploma at the same time they train for a career at Job Corps.
