(Bouckville, NY – June 2012) What can an adopted pet bring to your life? Find out by visiting the Bouckville Second Chance Thrift Shoppe June 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where Wanderers’ Rest’s volunteers will invite you to meet and greet many pets available for adoption, and if you just so happen to meet that kindred spirit, the volunteers will be happy to facilitate the adoption process.

Additionally, the Second Chance Thrift Shoppe will be offering a live plant sale with a great selection of flowers and plants for spring planting. The plant sale will begin Friday, June 1 and end Sunday June 3.

The shop hours have been extended to include Sunday for this special event only.

The Second Chance Thrift Shoppe is located one mile west of Bouckville at 6497 Route 20. Normal business hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is full unique items of all kinds, and all proceeds benefit Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association’s mission to support homeless dogs and cats.

Donations of new and gently used items, excluding clothes and electronics, are always needed and appreciated. Donations may be brought to the shop during normal business hours or to Wanderers’ Rest any day from noon until 2 p.m.
