(Peterboro, NY – June 2012) The 20th annual Peterboro Civil War Weekend has finalized the Sesquicentennial 2012 program schedule for June 9 and 10. Activities include a children’s area, Civil War authors, Civil War Heritage Foundation, Civil War round tables, demonstrators, domestic encampment, food concessions, Gerrit Smith Estate National Historic Landmark; military Civil War units, encampment, activities and exercises; National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum; Peterboro Area Museum; Peterboro United Methodist Church bake sale; shopping at general store, Peterboro Mercantile, and Sutlers; and vendors.
On Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 10 a.m.
10 a.m.: Brookfield Historical Society (all day)
10:30 a.m.: Faces of Madison and Oneida Counties in the Civil War, Matthew Urtz

The event is sponsored by the Smithfield Community Association, the town of Smithfield, and generous donors. The host unit for the event is the 12th Regiment U.S. Infantry, Co. A. (reenacting). Visitors to the event will receive program schedules, locations, maps and other information on the event at admission.
