(Hamilton, NY – July 2012) The 1993 classic The Sandlot will be the feature of Hamilton Theater’s Movie Under the Stars Monday, July 2, at approximately 9:15 p.m. at Hooks Wiltse Field on Eaton Street in Hamilton. Admission is free.
Described by Roger Ebert as ‘one of the greatest kids movies ever,’ “The Sandlot” won the Young Artist Award for Outstanding Youth Ensemble in a Motion Picture. The Sandlot was the first Movie Under the Stars feature in 2002, and is being presented once again to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series.
Scotty Smalls moves into a new neighborhood and soon becomes part of the local baseball buddies. What follows are adventures, tree house sleep-ins- and encounters with the legendary ball-eating dog, The Beast. The Sandlot is 101 minutes long and is rated PG.
Movie Under the Stars will be shown outdoors on the big screen at the Eaton Street Fields. Families are encouraged to come early and bring blankets and lawn chairs for this fun, outdoor movie event.
Hamilton Theater’s presentation of this year’s Movie Under the Stars is made possible by the generous sponsorship of Hamilton Vision Specialists. Free popcorn will be served, compliments of Parry’s.
