Celebrate the End of School, Beginning of Summer

Morrisville Public Library news

(Morrisville, NY – June 2012) We are having a summer kick-off party Friday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. Bring the family in and help us celebrate school being over and the start of summer; we are having a book sale Saturday, July 7, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please note we are only taking book donations per our donation policy. Our policy states:

“The Library will no longer be taking book donations unless they are children’s books, large-type materials, DVDs (not VHS), audio books on tape/CD or the current year of fiction or nonfiction books. The only exception is that you may make an arrangement with the Library Manager to donate books to pay off fines.”

If you wish to donate to our sale, please follow our guidelines. Thank you for understanding.

Our summer reading program is almost here; the theme this year is “Dream Big: Read!” Be sure to stop in and sign up starting the week of July 9. It runs until Saturday, Aug. 18. We are also having an adult summer reading program again this year, too, so anyone from ages 1 on can have fun with us this summer.

Join master illusionist Leon Etienne Wednesday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m. Come see what he has up his sleeve – bring the family in, as he will razzle and dazzle you.

Calling all young and old artists (or not) – we will be creating our 2012 summer reading mural Friday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. Come put your personal flare on this year’s mural! Mural is to be hung in the library during the entire summer.

We will be closed Wednesday, July 4, to observe Independence Day. We will reopen Thursday at 10 a.m.

We have a new website – visit midyorklib.org/wp/morrisville.

We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
