Library Requests Testimonials from Those Helped by Computer Courses

Hamilton Public Library news

By Barb Coger

(Hamilton, NY – July 2012) Hamilton Public Library was fortunate to have the Mid-York Library System mobile computer lab here for the past three months. The trainers, Fritz, Jennifer and Katie, answered many individual computer questions in addition to the classes that they taught. I know it was an opportunity that was appreciated by many.

Now’s your chance to express your appreciation. If any of you would be comfortable writing a little note about the value of your experience, I know it would be helpful to Mid-York Library System. Notes can be informal and don’t need to be lengthy.

The computer lab project coordinator has statistics to compile, but testimonials really reflect how important the project was to individuals. Notes can be dropped off at the library or sent directly to Mid-York Library System at KPerez@midyork.org.

Bibliomania, our summer reading board game, is underway, with more than 50 children already registered. Registration continues throughout the summer, so if you have children visiting for a week or so, feel free to register them ahead of time so they can stockpile minutes to play the game while they are here.

Our next family program will be the Bubbleman, Wednesday, July 18, at 2:30 p.m. This program, as well as our other family programs, is sponsored by the Hamilton Community Chest.

We are still collecting cardboard rolls for our Construction Zone Wednesday, July 25. All donations appreciated! Volunteers are still needed for other activities that afternoon.
