(Hamilton, NY – July 2012) Head coach Heather Young and the Colgate women’s lacrosse program will be welcoming seven newcomers to the team in the Class of 2016.

The incoming freshmen are all from the Northeast with four New Jersey natives, while there are rookies from Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania.

Kiley Donovan comes to Colgate from Ridgewood, N.J., where she was a two-time New Jersey State Champion for Ridgewood High School. She was also an honorable mention all-league and was an Academic All-American.

Taylor Fischer joins the Raiders from Ridgefield, Conn., and was a two-time Connecticut All-State selection for Ridgefield High School. Fischer was on the ESPN Rise top player watch list and led her team in assists for three seasons. She was an Academic All-American in 2011 and 2012.  She was team captain for two seasons and helped her team to the 2010 Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference Championship.

Lindsay Goldblatt makes the trip to Hamilton after lettering at Moorestown High School in New Jersey. She was a three-time New Jersey Group III State Champion and won the New Jersey Tournament of Champions twice. Goldblatt was a two-time Academic All-American and was named to the Burlington County First Team as a senior and was a second teamer as a junior.

Lauren Gorajek comes to Colgate after winning the Mid-Atlantic Prep League title four times at the Peddie School. The Hightstown, N.J., product helped win the 2010 NJSIAA Prep A State Championship and was a two-time NJSIAA Prep A All-Star. She was named the Trentonian Prep Midfielder of the Year and compiled 168 goals and 67 assists during her career.

Kallan Murray is another New Jersey player joining the women’s lacrosse team as she comes from Chatham High School, where she was a three-time New Jersey Group II State Champion. Murray scored 48 goals for the Cougars during its title run in 2012. She was an ESPN Rise Top 25 attacker and a top 100 player. She was a two-time member of the Under Armour All-America Team.

Kristen Norden joins the Raiders after winning two Pennsylvania State Championships for Radnor High School. The Villanova, Pa., native was a two-time Academic All-American and a three-time District I Champion. Norden was also a two-time second team All-Central League.

Emily Peebles is the only local product in the Class of 2016 as she travels to Colgate from Tully, N.Y., and LaFayette High School. She was a first team all-league selection all four seasons with the Lancers. Peebles earned first team All-Central New York honors as a senior and was a first team All-American and an Academic All-American. She tallied 232 goals and added 66 assists in her four years.
