Chittenango, NY – July 28, 2012) Chittenango unveiled its newly dedicated historic mural Saturday as part of its bicentennial celebrations this year.

‘The Chittenango Home Companion’ performances were part of the weekend’s events.

Assemblyman Bill Magee (D – Nelson) and Sen. David J. Valesky (D – Oneida) presented a resolution to the village in honor of its bicentennial milestone. They are pictured here with Margaret Kelsey (seated), who sang the Star Spangled Banner, Trustee Melinda “Mickey” Kopp, Village Administrator/Former Mayor Bob Freunscht and deputy village historian Charles Albee (seated far right).

The Chittenango High School Dixieland Band provided entertainment for the afternoon’s festivities.

Chittenango Village Trustee Mickey Kopp recognizes artist Jon DeFrees’s work in creating the village’s newly installed and dedicated historic mural panels, now permanently installed on the Benson Law Office building on Genesee Street.
