(Hamilton, NY – Aug. 2012) Hamilton Public Library is now looking for book sale donations and volunteers to assist with the Friends of the Library’s Annual Used Book Sale.

Books and other gently used materials may be left in the library’s Community Room during the next few weeks Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All materials will be appreciated with the exception of Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, textbooks and old encyclopedias.

Volunteers are needed to help sort the hundreds of books that are in the library’s Community Room this month. Experienced sorters may come at any time. Those new to the task should call (315) 824-9807 to schedule a time to drop in for training.

Cashiers will be needed for the sale itself, which will be Friday, Aug. 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1. There is a signup list at the circulation desk.

As our last story time for the summer is now behind us, I would like to thank all the guest storytellers who made these events so much fun for our little ones and their families. Guest storytellers for the month of July included the Crovella family, Cas Donovan, Kerry Linden, Sharon Morley, Diane Needham and. Susan Weitz.

Children were treated to some fun stories, a little bit of French and even a version of Little Red Riding Hood which included a vegetarian wolf!

Story Time will resume Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 10:30 a.m.
