Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association news
(Town of Lenox, NY – Sept. 2012) The Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association is proud to announce that the Canine Classic Annual Dog Walk and Festival will once again be held at the Jim Marshall Farm Foundation, located at 1978 New Boston Road in Chittenango on Sept. 30.
Formerly known as Paws along the Erie, the event was renamed to Canine Classic to capture the greater scope and impact of the event. The event boasts the alumni parade of dogs adopted from Wanderers’ Rest, demonstrations, vendors, food, fun and, of course, pets available for adoption.
In addition to the parade and walk, this year we will be hosting our first-ever fun dos show with “unique” and “unusual” classes, including most disobedient, owner look-alike and most vocal. Trophies and ribbons will be awarded.
There is no cost to register for the festival and dog walk, and you can raise any amount you wish. For those who are shy, money can be raised online by visiting firstgiving.com/wrha. Those who raise a minimum of $25 will not only receive a free Canine Classic of 2012 t-shirt, they will also be eligible for entry into the fun dog show!
The Canine Classic is Wanderers’ Rest Largest community gathering and fundraising event each year. Money raised helps the organization to heal, nurture and shelter unwanted or homeless cats and dog, enabling as many as possible the opportunity for a second chance through adoption.
