(Hamilton, NY – Aug. 2012) Bibliomania continues at Hamilton Public Library until the end of August. Fifty-one children have played the game this summer, and five of them have already won a t-shirt for just reading. Winners include Zach LaFrance, Isabel Crovella, Caleb Cassulis, Karisa Hatch and Morgan Boldt.
There is still time to register. A t-shirt drawing is held once a week, and everyone who plays the game has a chance to win.
Thirty-six children have already earned a choice of prizes for reading at least eight hours this summer. These prizes are available for children who either play Bibliomania at the library or complete a long yellow sheet that went home with every child in the Hamilton Elementary School. Check that book backpack for the sheet, provide your child an opportunity to read eight hours, and return the completed sheet to the library by Aug. 31.
The Friends of the Library appreciate all the book donations that have been coming in since Aug. 1. The library’s Community Room will continue to be open for your donations for the next week-and-a-half. You may drop off your gently used books during library hours (see editor’s note below).
There is a sign-up sheet for cashiers at the circulation desk. Cashiers are needed for the sale Friday, Aug. 31, and Saturday, Sept. 1.
